No more young romance songs please!!
After reading the Taylor Swift article I came to the conclusion that every preconceived notion I've had of taylor swift may in fact be true. It may be hard to come to terms with but with the United States music companies marketing towards an earlier age group, the top selling songs seem to be becoming less and less intellectually stimulating than any previous generation. With artist like Taylor Swift, Hanna Montana, Justin Biebier, etc., our highest profiting songs are no more complex than what 10 year olds are watching. My personal opinion on Taylor Swift is that she does have a beautiful voice but, while a few of her songs are catchier, the majority of her music it difficult to listen, especially once you know the words. As for the article, the pictures only further prove the points of the article, taylor swifts music may be entertaining but we are in fact listening to crap. As for the comparison to Lady Gaga the authors point only lessens Swift yet again. Gaga, to me, represents the possibility of a new age in music (an age where people are ok with just being their weird self), while Swift represents our industries diminishing value of music.

Importance of Rhetoric
If I had to pick one of the three rhetoric styles of writing I would pick Pathos and Logos because they are equally important. While Ethos gives credit to information, Pathos and Logos are the heart and opinion of writing. Without either, interest in the writing and any passion for the topic are hard to extract (by the reader). While I may have focused too much on Pathos in my "Into the Wild" paper, I think by adding more Logos and some Ethos my paper will not only intrigue the reader, but provide substantial credit to the information.
